to Akademie Street
From the Cape Town airport (about 50 minutes drive)
From the airport go to the N2 and follow the directions to Somerset West.
Turn to the right when the sign says Stellenbosch (Baden Powell Drive)
This road goes past Spier.
When you came to a stop street at a T- Junction turn right into
Stellenbosch
Continue along this road until just past the industrial/commercial areas
of Stellenbosch and it looks like you are just coming into the country
again then look for a sign to the right saying Franschhoek via Helshoogte
pass.
This sign is on the right hand side about 30 metres before the turn off
and is obscured by leaves.
At the turn off there is on the left a wall with Tennantsville written on
it.
Go right and through the pass (past Boschendal) until you reach a
T-junction. Turn right and about 15 km later you will find yourself in

Centre (about an hour’s drive)
Take the N1 expressway towards Paarl
Drive a fairly long way until you get to exit 47 where sign says R44/R103
Stellenbosch, Klapmuts, Wellington
Turn right
Fairly soon come to a 4-way stop. Cross over and shortly thereafter you
will see a sign to left saying Franschhoek.
Continue for about 9 km until you reach a T-junction
Turn right and keep driving until you find yourself in the town of
Franschhoek.

Drive through Franschhoek until the end of town – the monument in front of
you
Turn left
The second road is Akademie Street - turn left (You cannot go right)
Come to reception at Twyfeling, under the big oak trees.
