Healthy, home cooking is
prepared using the freshest ingredients from the organic fruit, vegetable
and herb gardens. Dining choices range from Comfort Food to Gastronomic,
served in various stunning dining venues including the new Embers outdoor
dining facility, the privacy of your own room or terrace, Spanners or the
Homestead
dining room. Nightcaps in the new riverside boma, under
African stars, may follow dinner.

Guests
may rejuvenate mind, body and soul with a selection of soothing spa
treatments, use the sauna and the heated pool, or any of the other three
sparkling swimming pools. Signature treatments include the Hot Stone Body
Treatment and massages may be taken in the Spa, on a private terrace, or
elsewhere in the great outdoors. Or
guests may simply relax overlooking the river or the magnificent Cederberg
backdrop, visit the extensive library, or lounge in the bar or any of the

Exciting outdoor
activities include daily guided rock art walks and evening game drives with
sundowners in the reserve, hiking, mountain biking, canoeing, fishing and
swimming in crystal clear rock pools.
Spring
flowers: From
July through to October the veld becomes a carpet of colour with thousands of
spring flowers.
Rock art: The
reserve is rich in Bushman heritage with over 130 pristine rock art sites.
Visitors may join daily early-morning guided walks along rivers and
through the veld to view a selection of the sites.
Mountain
biking:
Mountain bikes are available for guests to use in the reserve.
Daily evening
game drives:
Evening game drives through the reserve to view the game - gemsbok, bontebok,
Cape
mountain zebra, eland,
red hartebeest, black wildebeest, vaal rhebok, klipspringer, springbok,
steenbok and many other species of mammals and birds. Evening game drives
include complimentary snacks and sundowners and there are frequent sightings
of aardwolf, African wild cat, bateared fox,
Cape
fox and porcupine.
