Chief’s
Camp is located in the exclusive Mombo concession of the Moremi Game Reserve, in Botswana.
This concession is revered as one of the region’s prime
game-viewing destinations and has been called the “predator capital”
of
Africa.
The area offers spectacular game viewing year round.
Chief's Camp is situated on the northwestern tip of Chief’s Island,
in what is termed seasonal delta. The area is therefore seasonally
inundated with flood waters. Generally the flood waters infiltrate the
area in June/July and remain in situ for a period of 4 to 5 months.

Guest
accommodation comprises 12 luxury tents (24 beds).
Each unit at Chief's Camp offers en-suite facilities and a private balcony.
Electricity is supplied by a combination of silent packed generator and
battery system allowing 24-hour power supply. Ceiling fans, and hair
dryers are located in each room in addition to emergency telephones.
The
Chief's Camp main lodge complex houses the dining area, bar, curio shop, library and
reception area. This
structure has been built into the existing landscape, under a heavy
canopy of mature Jackalberry, Sausage and Rain trees. The main deck area
is split level and offers expansive views over the floodplain to the
north. The lower level of the deck houses an exquisite swimming pool.
Chief's
Camp is located in the only big 5 area in Botswana. Game-drives
are conducted in open vehicles, which offer unencumbered views.
The Land Cruisers have been custom built and offer individual
seating. Game drives are conducted early morning and late afternoon or
as otherwise requested. The
accompanying professional guides are among the best in
Botswana.
