free wilderness area near Ceres to the South of the magnificent
Cedarberg
Mountains, 250km from
Cape Town.

Bushmans Lodge
The accommodation
consists of ten unique 'cave suites'; these have a private
terrace, en suite bathrooms and twin beds. Built against the mountain,
the buildings blend perfectly with the surrounding landscape, to the
point of almost being invisible. The caves are equipped with heaters,
hair dryers and fans.

Weather permitting
dinner is served in the open air boma
under the African stars, while drinks can be enjoyed in the Doppies
lounge/bar. Interesting rock formations surrounds the sparkling swimming

The area has a rich cultural heritage with Bushman/San rock paintings of up to
6000 years old scattered around the reserve. Guests can appreciate the ancient Bushman living sites
and

Other inclusive activities during your stay
include a sundowner drink, and morning and
evening nature/game drives to spot resident
species, such as, Black Wildebeest, Ostrich, Zebra, Springbok, Bontebok,
Gemsbok and many other antelope species including the huge Eland.
On guided
open 4x4 excursions guests can also learn more about the various species of
plants (and their traditional & medicinal uses), birds and animals,
experience the Southern Skies and enjoy a sundowner at the 500-meter deep
canyon's edge.
Visit the
mini-observatory to see the stars and planets through a 10-inch telescope,
including close up views of the moon and planets and other deep space objects.
The reserve
is characterised by breathtaking rock formations and magnificent scenery that
is unique to this part of
Africa. Here you can find an exceptionally wide range of fauna and flora, some of
which are classified highly endangered.
