Set on the
banks of the Mutlumuvi Riverbed
on the Southern end of the concession, the
elegant 8 suite (16 bed) Rhino Post Safari Lodge is built using natural
materials stone, wood, thatch & canvas.

Rhino Post Safari
Lodge's accommodation consists of 8 suites raised on stilts all
overlooking the riverbed. Two of the suites at Rhino Post offer double
beds, the rest have twin beds.
Each en-suite bathroom
includes a deep, freestanding bath, ‘his and hers’ basins, a separate
toilet, and an outdoor shower
protected by thick reed poles. The bathroom floor is attractively
decorated with delicate mosaic designs complimenting the contemporary
floor. Each room has its own private wooden deck. Additional facilities
include a mini bar, overhead fans and a telephone.

The dining area set under Tamboti trees,
allows for
al
fresco dinners, cool lunches in the heat of a summer afternoon and
snug winter dining,
while candlelight
riverbed dinners
and breakfasts, under the protection of armed guards, are a wonderful,
alternative bush experience.

Both the
swimming pool
& lounge overlook an
active waterhole
in the riverbed. The lounge, with its
extensive wine cellar,
fireplace and bar provide a perfect setting for an afternoon or evening
sundowners.

A typical day would
include an early start, a cup of fresh coffee or tea, after which guests
set out on their game drive. Game-drive
safaris at Rhino Post are conducted in
specially adapted open Land cruisers, with professional guides.
Guides at the
lodge meet the stringent requirements of the South African National
Parks and senior guides hold the highest guiding qualification
possible in South Africa to ensure that your
encounters with the African wilderness are exciting, informative, and
safe.
Upon
returning to the lodge guests enjoy a leisurely brunch and time to relax
around the pool overlooking the waterhole. In the late afternoon after a
delicious high tea, you can enjoy an evening game drive, winding
down with sundowners, watching an African sunset and spotting
nocturnal animals in the park.
