Sabi Sands South

The Sabi Sands is one of South
Africa's premier game viewing areas, bordering onto the West of the
Kruger National Park. It comprises over 60 000 ha in extent as is home
to an abundant wildlife as well as over 300 different bird species. The
Sabi Sands has a large concentration of Private Game Lodges, including
Mala Mala, Londozi and Singita and more recently Ulusaba (owned by Sir
Richard Branson). It is a photographic safari dream as the animals
have become totally immune to gawking tourists as they go about their
daily activities. The area is fed by the Sand River, which provides
ample grazing for all the animals in the reserve.
Wild Life attractions include the Big 5, namely the Leopard, Black
Rhino, Buffalo, Elephant and Lions, but is also has a large amount of
antelope and bird viewing complete the experience.
